Accommodation
Mafia Island Lodge stands amidst tall palms on a sandy beach in Chole Bay, in the heart of the marine park near Utende village on South coast of Mafia.
Mafia Island Lodge has 30 comfortable rooms that are located among the coconut trees. All rooms have their own veranda overlooking the bay or the large park that surrounds us, hot water available in every room.
Single and double beds are available.
The different categories are:
- 14 standard rooms, double or twin, all with air conditioning and fan.
- 13 Superior - Families composed of two connected rooms, one double and one twin with two separate bathrooms, fan and communicating veranda.
- 3 suites, privileged in the seafront location, with large private and equipped garden, air conditioning and fan, large bathroom and walk-in closet, fridge, safe and private coffee corner.
The main lodge has a relaxing atmosphere with a large open restaurant, bar and lounge area. Board games, table tennis, table pool and volleyball are also available. A small library with 200 books in different languages is available in our lounge.
Other facilities include a gift shop, laundry service, excursions, snorkeling, sailing and scuba diving.
Renewed Beach Bar

Located on our beautiful beach - the only one in Chole Bay unaffected by tide - our Beach Bar offers you the possibility to order every kind of food from our à la carte menu from morning to evening , complemented by a fully-stocked bar.
In the morning you will have the chance to see the sunrise with its magical colors and maybe you'll be lucky enough to spot the dolphins in the bay.
As the sun goes down, it becomes the ultimate chillout zone for sitting back with a happy hour cocktail. We will also be offering intimate candlelit dinners, perfect for celebrating occasions such as anniversaries, birthdays, honeymoons or simply the pleasure of sampling our special menus on request.
